In India, the computer industry has been growing at a phenomenal rate, making it amongst the fastest growing sectors of the economy. The computer application industry boomed with the introduction of user-friendly office automation products. This trend later on went on to various fields like engineering, education, medicine, manufacturing, legal practices, business, education, entertainment, government, healthcare, transportation, call centres etc. The latest addition to it has been the Internet providing innumerable opportunities for those who have an aptitude for creativity and the knowledge of using the proper tool. 

These young graduates manage the change processes that are inevitably initiated by the introduction of technology into their workplace and they have to manage the operational aspects of business and organizational activities founded on computing and communication technology, including the development of new computer based activities. They are trained to be responsible for organizational change and organizational performance. These future computer experts are familiarized with practical development of the principal technology of information systems, database management systems (DBMS) and system definition, design and development as well. 

The course provides a sound academic base from which an advanced career in Computer Application can be developed. The course is an excellent platform for those aiming to enter in the computer profession and they are absorbed by the corporate companies as Software Engineer, Software Consultant ,Network Engineer ,Database Administrator ,Test Engineer ,System Analyst ,Programmer ,Quality Assurance Engineer , Technical Support Engineer , Junior Programmer and get promoted to the post of senior Programmers & Project Managers in the IT sector. After completion of this course student can desire further study like MCA / MBA/PGDCA etc to enhance their career path.

For B.Sc. I.T.

After successful course completion, AIMS Placement Cell will assist to start their career by campus recruitment or by seeking for a job by your self. As graduate in the field of IT which happens to be of a great spectrum, you can get a job in various IT organizations as a System Analyst, Database Administrator, Web Programmer or even in a BPO i.e call center.

The salaries depend on the marks during graduation as well as the aptitude of the person but the salary will be pretty good as a starting salary for a non-experienced IT graduate.

Here comes the main Query which majority of the people has. In Post graduation, a BSc.IT graduate can do a M.Sc in the same field or a MCA. Now, Job-wise M.Sc is preferred by people who want to go into the research or the teaching field.

MCA is for people who want to become programmers and all those high paying jobs. So, MCA is always preferable for a better job and gives u a better edge than the M.Sc's. The MCA is a 3 year course while the MSc is a 2 year course but putting that 1 year extra can get you more in the first annual salary.

Now, One can do a MBA even after Post graduate degree but doing it right after your Bachelor's will give you a great edge and catapult you to a high paying job of a manager much Faster. It is recommended that one should go for MBA in IT which would give you a better edge than all the MCA, M.Sc, and even the Engineers until they do their management.

MBA IT is offered in many colleges. Doing an MBA can get you a job position like a Project manager where you can draw a salary of about Rs.5-6 lakhs per year. And experience of 2 years can even get you Rs.7-8 lakhs per year.
